The trust check

What’s worth knowing before you hand over the keys.

Choosing a shop after a crash is stressful, and the bill can be large. So every shop gets the same plain check of what you can verify for yourself — not a rating, not an ad. Unknowns stay unknown.

  1. 01

    It’s a real shop

Sourced from the shop’s own website, with a street address. Lead-generation pages and call centers don’t count.

  2. 02

    It’s registered

California auto repair dealers register with the Bureau of Automotive Repair. We show the BAR number when the shop publishes it or the state record matches.

  3. 03

    It’s trained for your car

I-CAR and factory (OEM) certifications, exactly as the shop states them, with a link to where it says so.

  4. 04

    It stands behind the work

The shop’s written warranty, in its own words. If it doesn’t publish one, we say so.

  5. 05

    You can see the shop

Photos of the actual building, booth and team — labeled and credited. Never AI-generated, never scraped from a map.

  6. 06

    Reviews you can verify

We link the review pages so you can read them yourself. We never invent, average or “adjust” ratings.

JUST HAD A CRASH? TAKE A BREATH.

You choose the shop,
not your insurer.

In California, an insurer can’t require you to use a particular body shop. Get an estimate in writing, ask what parts they’ll use, and pick a shop you trust. How to choose a body shop ↗

  1. Are you certified for my car?Ask about I-CAR training and a factory certification for your make — it matters most for EVs, aluminum bodies and cars with driver-assistance sensors.
  2. Which parts will you use?OEM, aftermarket or used. Your estimate and final invoice should say which, and California requires the invoice to name non-OEM crash parts.
  3. What does the warranty cover?Ask for the workmanship and paint warranty in writing, and what it excludes.
  4. How long, and will I have a car?Ask for an expected timeline, how you’ll get updates, and whether they can help with a rental through your insurer.

Send them the shop.

Good body shops get found through friends. Share a shop to the group chat with one tap — the link opens with real photos, stated certifications and contact details. Saved a shortlist? Share that too and let someone who knows cars weigh in.
